Forest Trail is our favorite place.

Long before we reimagined this house, it was where my kids and I came to escape, to connect, and to just be together.   We built memories here year after year—slow mornings, snowball fights, summer hikes, and late-night games around the table.   This place became a part of us.

Later, when Meg and our blended family became part of the story, Forest Trail welcomed all of us.   It’s where we read for hours, played Chinese checkers, and spent evenings in the spa under the stars.   It’s also where my mentor hosted his daughter’s rehearsal dinner, and where one of my best friends got pregnant after years of trying.   There’s even a handmade rug by the powder bath—woven by my great-grandmother—that reminds me this house is part of something bigger.

We didn’t build Forest Trail to be perfect.   We shaped it to feel right.   To have warmth, soul, and space to breathe.   It’s hard for us to leave—always has been.   And now, we want to share it.   Our hope is that it becomes part of your story, too.

Welcome,
Michael David Horton
